National Honor Society: Thank you to Marybelle, Kima, Lauren and the officers of the National Honor Society for their powerful ceremony inducting 18 new NHS members on Friday night. The ceremony took place on an ice-stormy night at the Melville Gallery at the South Street Seaport Musuem. Teacher Noah Heller was also inducted as the Teacher of the Year by the NHS students. Congratulations to all student inductees and to Noah.
New York Philharmonic: Thank you Sonia for organizing the trip to the symphony for students on Wednesday night.
Color Purple: Thank you to Melissa, for organizing the trip for students to the see the Color Purple on Broadway last Wednesday afternoon.
NY Aquarium: Thank you to Roy for organizing the follow up marine science program at the New York Aquarium on Wednesday 3/14 and 3/28. 15 students are taking part in the program at the Aquarium in Coney Island.
Harbor Corps: Thank you to Murray and Roy for their ongoing work with the Harbor Corps and their developing oyster gardens.
